Cell Phone Tip For You
For most of us, it has become second nature to carry a cell phone, but for the few who haven’t taken the leap into ownership yet, here is a cell phone tip list to make your journey a little easier.
When you purchase your cell phone, take the time to evaluate your needs; determine your calling patterns. Checkout who you call, when you call, and where you call. Also, keeping tabs on the length of the calls might help.
Cell Phone Tip # 1: Pick a plan that fits your lifestyle.
Be careful when you use your cell phone and drive. Many individual states have limitations on when you can talk and drive, and most enforce those regulations. There is a real and growing problem in the US with the teen cell phone usage while operating an automobile. This could become a problem with our senior population as the baby boomers begin to age, and most are accustomed to operating their vehicle while communicating via their cell phone.
Cell Phone Tip #2: Watch your timing of conversations; make sure you’re not violating a local regulation.
It would seem we can’t get enough of the “communication” bug. We want to talk incessantly, and to everyone, whenever we choose. This depletes any attempt at patience, and eliminates the ordered world of yesteryear, when you could regulate who called you and when. The cell phones we carry with us constantly remind us of the fact that we’re always in touch. This can become an annoyance to those around us. So,
Cell Phone Tip #3: Be courteous and use it only when it doesn’t create a disturbance.
Take a few moments to research the effect the radiation and electromagnetic fields surrounding cell phones can have on your health. This is not proven information, but then neither was asbestos. The side-effects of so much wireless phone use, the radiation and magnetic field exposure that we experience as a result of using the phones, has yet to be fully studied and results determined. Once again, we’ve managed to so quickly purchase and use something for personal gain that we’ve not stopped to consider the possible personal loss.
Cell Phone Tip #4: Evaluate the health issues surrounding cell phones.
And last, but not least, incorporate a recycling program for your old cell phones. Regardless of your choice in recycling, recycling is the most environmentally friendly choice, and prevents us from accumulating a clutter of cell phones. Of course, we can talk about the fact that recycling saves energy, saves resources, and provides the person recycling with the opportunity to do something good for the environment; but those are things that every recycling program accomplishes.
Cell Phone Tip #5: Recycle, it’s good for the environment.
